We live in a large (80 Sq. Meters) sunny apt. in the coolest
neighborhood in Berlin. (Bergmann Strasse area in Kreuzberg) We are on the top
floor of an old building, our apt. was built 10 years ago as an add-on. All the
neighbors are really nice and my best friend Adriano lives in the building. (If
there are any problems you can talk to him first!) There is also a Yamaha
electric piano here. (I'm a musician)
This is a really good part of Berlin. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in
Berlin. There's big park down the street (Viktoria Park) and lots of shops,
cafés and restaurants in the area. We have Indian, Thai, Lebanese, Turkish,
Chinese, Iranian, Italian and of course German restaurants near us. There is the
oldest Markthalle (indoor market) in Berlin 200 meters from our house. In the
Markthalle are little stands with every conceivable item you'd want. Fruit,
vegetables, bakeries etc. are all available there. Next to it is a little park (Marheiniekeplatz)
and the post office. we are geographically in the center of the city. There are
2 subway stations (Geneisenaustrasse and Platz der Luftbrücke) 3 minutes walking
distance away.
